The Guernsey Over-70s played England Over-75s in a tight and competitive match, with Guernsey earning a well deserved 1-1 draw last weekend.

Whilst the opportunity for Guernsey to play international sport is a fantastic story for our island, this represents only one of aspect of the value that Guernsey’s walking football club brings to our whole community.

At Core, we believe that walking football has huge potential as a sport. It is both fun and competitive as well as promoting health, fitness and social inclusion for people of all ages and abilities.

The Guernsey Walking Football Club epitomises these principles, having developed opportunities to play football in our community at beginner, social, competitive and elite levels since its formation in 2017.

Therefore, Core were delighted to have been able to assist the club's development though our sponsorship of their international match against England.
